Learn Western Mahjong in a week! Western Mahjong is derived from the ancient Chinese game, but with a wider range of hands. However it retains the simplicity that makes the game so relaxing. In this class you will learn the basics of Western Mahjong which will enable you to join the many Western Mahjong clubs around Perth. Come and learn the fundamentals of this fun and useful craft. We cover basic stitches and techniques as well as how to read patterns and charts. Learn all you need to know to get you started on creating fashionable accessories, cosy rugs and useful items for your home. In the first lesson, we will start from the very beginning with how to hold the yarn and hook, how to make your first stitches and what pitfalls to avoid. This course introduces participants to the fascinating and ancient game of Mahjong.
